Mets Lineup Changes: Cespedes To Bat Third, Pitcher Ninth

Happy Harvey Day! Matt Harvey takes the mound for the first time in 2018 and Mickey Callaway is shaking things up with the New York Mets lineup for the first night game of the season. Brandon Nimmo is back in centerfield and leading off, while Amed Rosario gets the night off. The most interesting part about Wednesday night’s lineup is that Yoenis Cespedes is back batting third and the pitcher is batting ninth for the first time this season.

New York Mets lineup 4/3/2018:

  1. Brandon Nimmo – CF
  2. Asdrubal Cabrera – 2B
  3. Yoenis Cespedes – LF
  4. Jay Bruce – RF
  5. Todd Frazier – 3B
  6. Adrian Gonzalez – 1B
  7. Travis d’Arnaud – C
  8. Jose Reyes – SS
  9. Matt Harvey – P
