Rangers Bounce Back in Buffalo

Following a rough loss to the Islanders on Sunday, the New York Rangers traveled eight hours northwest to Buffalo to try and right the ship. And right the ship they did as they defeated the Sabres 4-2 — the Rangers’ ninth consecutive victory over them.

The Rangers got off to a very hot start, grabbing a 3-0 lead through the first six minutes of the second period. However, they stumbled to the finish line as the Sabres grabbed two goals back, cutting the lead to 3-2 as they peppered Antti Raanta’s goal with 34 shots. When you compare that to the 25 saves the two Sabres goalies had, it shows the discrepancy in the game.

Despite the barrage the Rangers bent but did not break;  J.T. Miller’s slotting a puck into the empty net gave the Rangers a 4-2 win and the team effort garnered them two critical points.
