Riversharks Open 2015 Home Schedule

55 degrees, partly cloudy, smell of grass and funnel cake and a beautiful view of a ball park and the Ben Franklin Bridge only means one thing; Its shark attack time. The 2015 season for the Camden Riversharks is officially underway.

There is no better place to be than in Campbell Fields in Camden, New Jersey. People come not only from New Jersey but also come from Philadelphia and Delaware. Not only are tickets cheap and have many things to do with your family here, you get to sit back, relax and have a great time.

With the start of the season officially underway here at Campbell’s Field, anything is up for grabs.

With the game off to a slow start, the Riversharks marked on the board in the bottom of the 2nd inning; 1-0. Let’s thank that to the man of the night, Carlos Guzman. All I can say is Mr. Guzman, you can run. Not only did Guzman score a run in the bottom of the 2nd, he bunted the ball at the bottom of the 4th also. Making the base (when he punted the ball) you felt the wind from him running by you.

Let’s not take anything away though from the Bridgeport Bluefish. Even with three errors and a wild pitcher, Sam Gervacio brought in later in the game. With the teams total pitching with a 2.68 and there field stats holding at .980 (same as the Camden Riversharks), they seem to hold their own here at Campbell’s Field.

So with each team holding their own at the beginning of the season, only who knows what is around each corner. I do have to say that we have to keep our eye on Carlos Guzman. He might just take a bite out of this game just like the shark.
