Hockey 42 Players Set to Attend Devils Development Camp Anthony Brodeur among invitees. by Chip Gianni July 10, 2015 Anthony Brodeur (Tony Kurdzuk/The Star-Ledger) The New Jersey Devils announced the roster for the prospects that will be attending the development camp on Thursday. 42 players will attend the camp, which will begin on Monday July 13 and run through Saturday July 18. Only players still on their entry-level contracts or unsigned are eligible to be invited to the camp. This year’s invites and attendees include 2015 first round draft pick Pavel Zacha, 2014 first rounder John Quennville and 2015 second selection MacKenzie Blackwood. A few of the attendees even have some family ties to the National Hockey League. Anthony Brodeur, the oldest son of former Devils goalie will be one of four goaltenders to participate in the camp. Brodeur, was drafted by the Devils in the seventh round of the 2013 entry draft, but never signed, re-entering the draft this past month only to not be selected. Matthew Gaudreau, the younger brother of Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau, will also participate in the camp. The Carneys Point, NJ native, just finished up his sophomore year at Boston College this past season. Another prospect attending the camp will be, Casey Fitzgerald, an undrafted forward on the US National Team Development Program. Fitzgerald, the son of former New York Islander Tom Fitzgerald, will be attending Boston College in the fall. Tyler Wood, the older brother of 2013 fourth round pick Myles Wood and son of former Islander Randy Wood, also is amongst the prospects with ties to the NHL. Myles will also be attending the camp. Aside from Gaudreau and Brodeur, other New Jersey natives include Colton Phinney, an undrafted goalie from Chatham, who just finished up his junior year at Princeton and Max Novak, of Oak Ridge, who finished the 2014-2015 season on an amateur tryout with the Albany Devils following his NCAA career at Union College. Reid Boucher, Damon Severson and Raman Hrabarenka, who spent some time up with the big club last season will take part in the camp as well as many of the Devils recent draft picks. The camp will conclude with the Red and White scrimmage game on Saturday July 18. Season ticket holders were given the opportunity to purchase five dollar tickets to the Red and White game, with the proceeds going to help benefit the Devils Care Foundation.
