Baseball Have No Fear Yankees Fans, Bubble Wrap Is Here One New Jersey company wants to make sure the Yankees captain does not sustain an injury. Find out what they have sent to Derek Jeter. by Staff Post May 6, 2010 The injury bug has been taking out Yankees one at a time. Is the Sports Illustrated cover curse taking its place in the Yankees locker room? The core four appeared on the cover this past week and three of the four have been battling injuries. Jorge Posada is day-to-day with a calf strain, Mariano Rivera has missed a few games because of stiffness in his arm, and Andy Pettitte had to leave Wednesday’s game with stiffness of his own in his left arm. The last man standing is Derek Jeter. How can we prevent Jeter from getting injured? Well, a New Jersey packaging company has a plan. Sealed Air, a company in Saddle Brook, New Jersey is shipping the Yankees shortstop a large roll of bubble wrap. The Bubble Wrap is being shipped to Fenway Park for Jeter and is wrapped in pinstripes with a large number two on it. The last thing the Yankees need right now is for their captain to get a piece of the injury bug that has been going around. The folks at this company, who happen to be Yankees fans, are doing their part to make sure Jeter can stay on the field. The roll of Bubble Wrap will also include a letter to Derek Jeter.
