Basketball A Win In November Ends Sixers 1,085 Day Streak by Staff Post November 12, 2016 While its not secret, the Philadelphia 76ers haven’t been a great team by a long shot. For the past few years we’ve all heard, “Trust the Process”. One thing is safe to say that this sad streak is finally over with. No victories in October or November since 2013. That means 1,085 days. Wow! Now, it seems like our future is turning around slowly. With a losing streak in 2013-2014, the fans had hope for the following year. That was quickly squashed by a 0-17 start in 2014-2015. The beginning of December saw their first win last year. The last few minutes of the game was certainly interesting and had many of us sitting at the edge of our seats. It was nothing short of a cat walk for the 76ers. With the confidence and working together they certainly pulled off a five point lead. That was even with 25 seconds left in the game. After a foul by Henderson on Paul George, it sent George to the foul line with only 3 seconds left in the game. I thought for sure the game was over with another loss under our belts. Tied the score 100-100 which sent the game into overtime. Being in overtime was very awesome to see. The OT victory was greatly appreciated and mainly because of Mr. Joel Embiid. Having 55.5 seconds left on the clock in OT, Embiid took on a 3-point play and then a critical offensive rebound. Not sure if Embiid was going to come back into the game he definitely did. He didn’t play at the beginning of the OT due to him hitting the 24 minute limit. Brown though didn’t second guess and wanted to get there 1st at home victory to break the streak. Thought out the game waiting for the normal to happy, a loss, definitely didn’t happen. Boy was I wrong and many other fans wrong. Just remember “…Trust the Process”.
