Uncategorized Derek Brunson v. Israel Adesanya officially set for UFC 230 inside Madison Square Garden Two rivals are set to face off at UFC 230 in New York City by Daniel Yanofsky August 4, 2018 It is the year 2018, and two talented fighters were able to get a fight booked against one another all thanks to social media. At UFC 230 inside Madison Sqaure Garden, Derek Brunson will look to change his luck against the rapidly rising Israel Adesanya. Rumored to take place for quite some time, the announcement of the fight was made official at the UFC 25th Anniversary press conference. This is a huge fight for the middleweight division of the UFC. For both fighters, this has special meaning for them. For Brunson (18-6), it is a chance to get some of his fire back. He is 2-3 in his last five fights, his last one a round one KO to Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza at UFC on Fox 27. It seems that something changed in him after losing to Anderson Silva at UFC 208 in Brooklyn. That is a fight in which many believe he should have won. The veteran in Brunson is looking to shut the mouth of young Israel Adesanya (14-0), who will be fighting in his fourth UFC bout. His last fight was a unanimous decision victory over Brad Tavares at The Ultimate Fighter 27 finale. He is one of the fastest-rising stars in the division, which might not be ideal for Brunson. There will be no memes or retweet button when they square off under the bright lights of New York City. It should be a solid fight featuring two hot-blooded fighters looking to settle a score. Ticket information for UFC 230 has not been released yet. Stay tuned for more details.
