The Devils faced two potential President Trophy winning teams on Friday and Saturday and came away with totally different results in each game.

On Friday it was the Montreal Canadiens who came to New Jersey for a battle with the Devils. Battle was the key word here, as the Devils and Canadiens dragged the game into a shootout. The Devils would go on to win thanks to goals from Jacob Josefson and Patrik Elias. Keith Kinkaid played a wonderful game, making 31 saves in 65 minutes as well as both stops in the shootout.

The following day it was as if an entirely different New Jersey Devils team that showed up in Madison Square Garden to play the Rangers. The Devils were down 3-0 early in the first and Cory Schneider was pulled after allowing three goals on just six shots. The Devils would go on to surrender three more goals after that and lose the game 6-1.

The Devils will get another chance with the Rangers on Tuesday night when they welcome them to the Prudential Center at 7:00 pm on MSG+.
