Feature Double G Media Names Erin Underwood Director of Video Content by Staff Post March 22, 2016 Erin Underwood DoubleGSports.com and it’s parent company, Double G Media, LLC, has named Erin Underwood to it’s new position of Director of Video Content. The position was created in order to improve the video content on the website. Underwood will take control of all aspects of video content, including planning, production, and editing. She will build and lead a team of videographers, video editors, and on-screen hosts. In the past, individuals handling the video content also had other large responsibilities like graphic design and marketing. With the development of the Director of Video Content role, Underwood will still have overall management duties, but she will be able to focus on video work. “I’m very excited!” said Underwood. “Working as a writer for Double G has been a great experience so I’m looking forward to using my skills in video and building on what’s already there. I think there’s a wonderful foundation that’s been built with the current videos so it can only go up from here.” Underwood has worked as a digital media, video and content production professional and has experience at everything from small startups in California all the way to major publications in New York, including the Financial Times. She brings a passion for journalism and storytelling through the art of video with her to Double G Media. “Storytelling is moving increasingly from print to video so making sure we are always staying on top of the latest trends is a huge goal of mine,” said Underwood about her new role. “I want viewers to recognize our videos and know that the time they’ll spend watching is well worth it.” She is also the Co-Founder and COO of Women Talking Sports, and contributes to DoubleGSports.com as the New York Sharks Beat Writer. She has conducted various feature interviews and covered many live events, which can all be seen here. “We feel Erin is the perfect person to take on this new role with us,” said Double G Media CEO Gregg Snyder. “Her experience and knowledge, combined with her work ethic and passion for sports media, will be evident in our video content from here on out.” For a few years now, DoubleGSports.com has hosted a video web series, Overtime. With the addition of Underwood, Overtime will be able to take the next step and produce consistent content on a regular basis. In addition to Overtime, there are already plans to add additional shows for viewers to enjoy. “The team has done an amazing job so far of making the videos interesting,” she said. “So ensuring that the content remains upbeat while adding compelling storylines will be my main focus. I’m looking forward to this new challenge and can’t wait to get started!” [hr style=”3d”] DoubleGSports.com is a Greater New York City and Greater Philadelphia area sports website, including New Jersey and Connecticut.
