Jim Ross (The Independent) It has been stated many times, but WrestleMania is an opportunity to celebrate the past and to look to the future. Besides the wrestlers involved in the action, announcers have been known to play a huge factor. WWE seems to agree, reportedly bringing back one of the best announcers for the biggest show of the year. Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Jim Ross has been brought in to call a match at WrestleMania 33. While its unknown what match he will call, there have been some rumors regarding two specific matches. We could see “Good ol’ JR” announce the Goldberg v. Brock Lesnar bout or The Undertaker v. Roman Reigns match. The last WrestleMania match Jim Ross called was a Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and The Undertaker. The match was dubbed an “End of an Era” match. With rumors that this will be Undertaker’s last match (and could be the last match of the show, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter), having JR call the match would be very fitting. There have been more reports stating this is not just a one time appearance. PWS has also stated that JR will be a part of various programs on the WWE Network. This would be the first time he would be involved with the network since 2013. This is considered a move nobody saw coming. In a sense, its showing that WWE is a great support system for JR. Just recently Jim Ross’ wife Jan passed away. We all wish JR the best during this hard time. It will be great hearing the voice of one of the best announcers of all time at WrestleMania. Regardless of what he calls, it will be a very great moment for all. Post Views: 1,646 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Daniel Yanofsky Baseball Editor, Misc.
