Phil Davis v. Ryan Bader – Bellator 180 (MMA Junkie) It looks Ryan Bader will have a new opponent in New York City. Originally scheduled to face ‘King Mo‘ at Bellator 180 on June 24th, Bader will now face Phil Davis for the Bellator Light Heavyweight Title. ‘King Mo’ is off the card due to an injury. The announcement was made on today’s edition of the MMA Hour. The latest acquisition for Bellator, Bader ( 22-5 ) doesn’t seem to mind the change. Considering there is an extended amount of time before the event, the preparation may be a little easier than normal. As long as there is no change a few days before the fight after weigh-ins, everything should run smoothly for Bellator. Davis ( 17-3 (1) ) debuted for Bellator in 2015 and has been on a role, winning four straight fights. He beat Liam McGeary for the Light Heavyweight Title at Bellator 163. Bellator 180 won’t be the only time these two have fought before. Bader defeated Davis via split decision at UFC on FOX 14. Can history repeat itself once again? Bellator 180 is the Spike TV card underneath Bellator NYC. Regardless of where they are placed, all eyes will be on them. The two will have a chance to steal the entire show before it even goes to PPV. Post Views: 1,832 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Daniel Yanofsky Baseball Editor, Misc.
