After a busy month of July, the Brooklyn Nets have been quiet for the remainder of the Summer, until this week.

According to multiple reports, the Nets have signed forward Chase Budinger and guard Jorge Gutierrez to training camp deals, bringing the number of players on their roster to 20, the maximum amount allowed.

Budinger is a 6’7″ small forward who has played for the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers during his career.  The 28-year-old has averaged 7.9 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 43 percent from the floor.

Gutierrez, 27,  is a journeyman point guard who briefly played for the Nets back in 2014.  The team signed him to a multi-year deal at the end of the season, but then traded him to the Philadelphia 76ers.  He has bounced around the league since then, with stops in Milwaukee and Charlotte.

There are already 15 players on the roster with guaranteed contracts.  They gave three rookies partially-guaranteed deals before singing Budinger and Gutierrez.  Yogi Ferrell, Beau Beech and Egidijus Mockevicius will all be in camp with the Nets and could wind up playing for the their D-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets this season.

The Nets are set to begin training camp next week.  They must cut their roster down to 15 players by October 26.
