Edgar (21-5-1) faced Jeremy Stephens at the historical UFC 205 pay-per-view in November. Edgar picked up an unanimous decision victory over Stephens.

Rodriguez (10-1) has been on a tear through the 145-division, winning all six of his UFC bouts. His last win being one of the more notable of his career when he defeated former champion B.J. Penn in January.

After a slow start to 2017, the UFC has made up for it with this Dallas card. They have stacked UFC 211 to the brim with high-caliber talent which includes a three-round bout between two of the top welterweights today, Damian Maia and Jorge Masdival and fellow NJ native Eddie Alvarez against Dustin Poirier in a three-round lightweight bout.

UFC 211 is set to have two title fights as the main and co-main events. The co-main event featuring a strawweight war between reigning champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and challenger Jessica Andrade. The main event will feature a heavyweight rematch between champion Stipe Miocic and challenger Junior Dos Santos.
