‘BlondeFighter’ made her UFC debut at bantamweight in July of 2015 against Lauren Murphy. After defeating Murphy via unanimous decision, she went on to get her first professional loss again UFC vet Liz Carmouche at UFC 205 in November. Chookagian returned to the win column at UFC 210 in Buffalo earning a split decision victory over Irene Aldana.

Following UFC 210, Chookagian went in for shoulder surgery, causing her to take time off from training and delaying her return to the octagon.

The #13 ranked UFC women’s bantamweight has said previously in interviews with DGS that she was waiting for the 125-pound division to open up. The promotion is currently running its reality show, The Ultimate Fighter, featuring the newly formed division in its 26th season on FOX Sports 1. The winner will be crowned the inaugural women’s champion at 125-pounds.

While it has yet to be shown on an episode, ‘BlondeFighter’ featured a photo on Instagram of her at the TUF gym in a Team Alvarez jersey. TUF 26 coach and former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez is a teammate of hers in New Jersey. She was not a contestant on the show this season.
