Novak Djokovic Wins his 18th Grand Slam Title at Australian Open

Novak Djokovic won the 2021 Australian Open Men’s Final over Daniil Medvedev. The victory gave Djokovic his ninth Australian Open title and 18th Grand Slam title.

This win for Djokovic put him closer to winning the most Grand Slam titles ever. Currently, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are in a tie for having the most Grand Slam titles with 20 each. Djokovic needs to win two more Grand Slam titles to tie with Federer and Nadal. He has won the most Australian Open titles too.

Novak Djokovic Longest Number 1 ATP Ranking

Djokovic winning the Australian Open will keep him at the number 1 ranking for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). Currently, Roger Federer has the record of having the number 1 ranking for the longest time, holding it for 310 days. Djokovic will pass Roger Federer’s record because he holds the number 1 ranking for 309 days. Djokovic will keep this number 1 ranking at least till March 8. Since he has this ranking till March 8, Djokovic will hold the record of being ranked number 1 by the ATP for the longest time.

Novak Djokovic is one the greatest tennis players. Seeing him win this victory is nothing surprising because he has won countless Australian Open Titles already. Djokovic is a tennis legend and is one of the greatest players of all time.
