Baseball Patriots Top Riversharks 2-1 by Somerset Patriots July 22, 2015 Camden, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (8-5, 58-25) defeated the Camden Riversharks (3-10, 31-52) 2-1 Tuesday evening at Campbell’s Field. In the top of the first inning third baseman Greg Hopkins laced a RBI double to give Somerset a 1-0 advantage. Shortstop Brandon Chaves tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning with a RBI single. The Patriots retook the lead in the top of the seventh inning as catcher Adam Donachie served a RBI single making the score 2-1. Mickey Storey earned the win (5-2) tossing six innings while surrendering one run on five hits. Bill Murphy sustained the loss (2-10) hurling seven innings while scattering two runs on seven hits. Jon Hunton notched the save (22) pitching the final inning. The 2015 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue on the road until the Somerset Patriots return to TD Bank Ballpark for a 7:05 p.m. game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs on Friday, July 24th.
