PFL roster update: Champions and Others out for Revenge Return

The PFL will be bringing in familiar faces, with fans hoping for more exciting matchups like last season.

There will be some familiar faces returning to the Professional Fighters League in 2019.

All but one of the champions from the PFL’s New Year’s Eve finals will be looking to successfully defend their titles, while also hoping to become $1 million richer. Heavyweight Champion Philipe Lins, Welterweight Champion Magomed Magomedkerimov, Lightweight Champion Natan Schulte and Featherweight Champion Lance Palmer will all be returning. Middleweight Champion Louis Taylor will also be involved in the tournament format, just in the welterweight division. A women’s lightweight division will take over the men’s welterweight this year.

Absent from this list is Sean O’Connell. The 2019 Light Heavyweight Champion retired following his dramatic victory at the end of last season.

Ray Cooper III, Rashid Magomedov, Steven Siler, and Vinny Magalhaes will also be returning. A favorite last season, the 26-year-old Cooper (17-6) will look to prove why as he looks for redemption.

The second season of the PFL is set to kick off in May, with a plethora of events reportedly scheduled for New York.
