Basketball Philadelphia 76ers Continue the Blues as an Early Dreadful Season Continues by Staff Post November 26, 2015 Where can we begin when discussing the Philadelphia 76ers? In an early NBA season, the very young team has started 0-14, leaving fans bowing their heads in dismay. With so much talent on their roster including top draft picks, forward Nerlens Noel and centers Jahlil Okafor and Joel Embiid it is a sure wonder how the team could perform so poorly. Many fans say, it’s not that the team doesn’t play hard, but they lack veteran leadership and star power. Although it is true Philadelphia doesn’t have that one star player to lead them to the high ranks, winning games should not be so difficult. The 76ers are looking at becoming the first team in NBA history to begin back to back seasons 0-15. Last season, the 76ers won a mere 18 games with 64 losses. The season prior had no bright side either with only one more win. The last two seasons have been so dreadful for 76er fans. Coaches and staff are looking for a way to keep their guys motivated enough to want to fight for the victory. With so many rookies and second year players, confidence can so easily be lost. Many may say the 76ers have no chance of competing in a very much improved Eastern Conference. Competing against teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls can be very intimidating for guys just coming into the league. Although fans have been patient with the building of this young team, the 76ers front office must move fast in order to maintain the supporting culture of basketball in the City of Brotherly Love.
