Hockey Pietila and Kujawinski Sign Entry Level Deals With Devils Kujawinski had 21 goals and 15 assists in 34 games for North Bay of the OHL. by Staff Post May 28, 2015 Blake Pietila (Jim Rosvold) On Wednesday May 27 the New Jersey Devils signed forwards Blake Pietila and Ryan Kujawinski to entry-level contracts. Kujawinski and Pietila were drafted in 2013 and 2011 respectively by the Devils and are coming off decent seasons in their leagues. Kujawinski had 21 goals and 15 assists in 34 games for North Bay of the OHL giving him a little more than a point per game. Pietila had 14 goals and 16 assists all while leading his team, the NCAA’s Michigan Tech, in penalty minutes with 56. These players cover the two things the Devils need pretty badly right now — scoring and grit. It would certainly be beneficial to both parties if they turned out to be very good NHL’ers and are able to help the Devils bounce back again in the not so distant future!
