Hockey Rangers Win 10 in February The Rangers closed out February with a 10-2-2 mark. Out of which: Henrik Lundqvist went 1-0-0, Mac Skap went 1-0-0 and Cam Talbot went 8-2-2. by Staff Post March 2, 2015 Getty Images The NY Rangers started off the month of February with a 6-3 victory over the Florida Panthers, but lost the services of goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, with a vascular injury (sprained blood vessel) from getting hit in the throat versus Carolina the previous Saturday evening. They then laced up their skates and took to the ice with Cam Talbot between the pipes. They faced the Boston Bruins and took that one 3-2. They then lost a very tough road game against the league leading Nashville Predators, 3-2. The following night, they played the Dallas Stars and fell 3-2 in OT. The Rangers then went on the road for a four game trip. The first stop was Toronto and the result was a 5-4 victory. In Colorado, the Blueshirts won 6-3. In Arizona, the Coyotes fell 5-1. The Rangers then played their last game on the road, albeit in Long Island and in a wild, wild game, they came back from a two goal deficit THREE times, to defeat the Islanders 6-5. At home versus Vancouver, they picked up a point, but fell to the Canucks 5-4 in a Shootout. The next night in Buffalo, Mackenzie Skapski made his NHL debut and came away with a 3-1 victory over the Sabres. The Rangers came back home for a three game home stand and faced the Columbus Blue Jackets first. A hard fought 4-3 victory in a Shootout garnered two more points. Next, it was the Calgary Flames and a 1-0 victory. And finally, it was a come from behind victory over the Arizona Coyotes, 4-3. The Rangers then played the Philadelphia Flyers, but lost 4-2. Thus they closed out February with a 10-2-2 mark. Out of which: Henrik Lundqvist went 1-0-0, Mac Skap went 1-0-0 and Cam Talbot went 8-2-2. All in all, it was a pretty good month for the Broadway Blueshirts.
