Ring of Honor – War of the Worlds (ROHWrestling.com) A few week’s ago, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling had another successful War of the Worlds PPV series. I would know, I was at one of the show’s. Ring of Honor is not done yet. The company recently announced that there will be a War of the World U.K. Tour this year! According to a press release, the tour will run from August 18th – August 20th and will feature talent from NJPW, Mexico’s CMLL and Revolution Pro Wrestling. The tour will kick off with RPW’s ‘Summer Sizzler’ event on Thursday August 17th at York Hall in London. From there, Ring of Honor will run through the U.K., from London to Liverpool and finally Scotland. This will be the first time the promotion will travel to Scotland. This does sound like an amazing opportunity for Ring of Honor. If the company is looking to be the top promotion in the U.S., moves like this one is the first step in doing so. It’s also a great opportunity for the fans to watch stars that they may not get to see on a daily basis due to traveling expenses. The announcement of the tour comes at a perfect time. The tour starts four days after the conclusion of NJPW’s G1 Climax tournament. With a little bit of luck, we could see Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes and all your favorite international stars. Ticketing information will be announced on ROHWrestling.com at a later date. If Ring of Honor plays their card’s right, this could be an annual event. Even better, they can travel all over. With the WWE U.K. Tournament making a scene, the market is open for some competition. Look’s like Ring of Honor jumped in at the right time.
