Baseball Riversharks Close Doors by Staff Post October 22, 2015 If your favorite thing to do on a beautiful summer night was travel to Camden, New Jersey to see the Camden Riversharks play, you will have to look for new plans. Yesterday, the Camden Riversharks closed after an amazing 15-year journey. They lost the battle to get a new lease. The Camden County Improvement Authority (CCIA) has relinquished all ties with the team. The two-time America’s voted favorite ball park has been on the beautiful waterfront in Camden, New Jersey. No matter what day or time, you always caught an amazing ballgame, great view of the bridge along with the skylines of Philadelphia. Throughout the 15 years on the waterfront, the Riversharks have seen over four million fans walk through the front gates. Being able to sit in the press box for many games and even being a season ticket holder, I got to see some great games. The best part of going to see the Riversharks was enjoying the family fun environment and even playing a game or two between innings. The last and final merchandise sale will be taking place Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 from 9am-5pm. They will also be there on Saturday 9AM-Noon.
