After having the final game of the series against the Connecticut Tigers postponed due to rain Friday night, the Staten Island Yankees took the field again at Richmond County Bank Ballpark against the Lowell Spinners on Saturday night.

Trevor Stephan (1-1) got the start for the Staten Island Yankees. The right-handed pitcher threw four innings of no-hit baseball and struck out six.

Glenn Otto (2-0) relieved Stephan in the fifth inning and threw three no-hit innings, striking out four and walking one.

The Spinner’s Shortstop Micheal Osinki ended the no-hitter bid at 8.1 innings with a single to left field against the right-handed Josh Roeder, who pitched two innings allowing only two hits, struck out four and walked one.

Staten Island Yankees right fielder Timmy Robinson extended his hitting streak to six games, going 3-4 with a run scored.

Catcher Jason Lopez went 2-4 with two RBIs in the 5-0 win.

Next Game

The team will play another game on Sunday at 4:00 pm in Staten Island as they will host a Jewish Heritage Night. Daniel Alvarez (2-2) 4.01 ERA, is set to start the game for the Yankees. The starter for the Lowell Spinners has not been announced yet.
