On Air The Real Scoop, Episode 2: Winners and Losers (Audio) by Frank Todaro May 8, 2018 Notably, there were winners and losers during the first week of May 2018. The NBA playoffs are in full swing, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers escaped the jaws of defeat in the first round, and now look like they are ready to dispose of the hapless Toronto Raptors and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, yet again. Additionally, the other Eastern Conference matchup has the Boston Celtics ahead 2-0 over the young Philadelphia 76ers. Moreover, the Celtics are playing at a high level without their best player Kyrie Irving. Whereas, in the Western Conference, power house Golden State Warriors, and the Houston Rockets are on a collision course. The New York Knicks also announced their new head coach this week, you can already hear the groans. Besides Mike Francesa’s return to New York Sports Radio, another shocker came Friday May 4, 2018. The New York Mets announced they have parted ways with once phenomenon pitcher Matt Harvey who was designated for assignment. Above all, Matt Harvey’s robust ERA, and his late nights, partying, and injuries. Surely, it caught up to Harvey. Moreover, his career is at a crossroads, it will be interesting to see where he lands and if he can turn around his career, and make an impact somewhere else.
