After dropping the two middle games of the four game weekend series, the Trenton Thunder came up on top in the series finale.  The Thunder defeated the Sea Dogs 8-2 scoring their first six runs in the first five innings.

On his 23rd birthday, right fielder Aaron Judge finished 2 for 4 with a two run home run, double and a walk.  The two run homer came in the 5th inning and gave the Thunder a 5-0 lead.

Following Judge’s 2 run shot, first baseman, Greg Bird hit a solo homer giving the Thunder a 6-0 lead going into the 6th inning.

Lefty, Miguel Sulbaran gave up two runs over six innings, allowing just one hit over the first five innings.  After being taken out of the game, Johnny Barbato, Caleb Cotham and Mark Montgomery pitched 3.2 scoreless innings of relief, allowing the Sea Dogs to pick up just one hit.

The Thunder will travel to New Hampshire for a three game series against the Fisher Cats.  Rightly Taylor Garrison gets the start for the Thunder.  Garrison is 1-0 this season with a 1.88 ERA over three games.  The Righty will be opposed by fellow righty Casey Lawrence who is still looking for his first win of the season.
