Will Conor McGregor be at UFC 244?

Is it strange to say we are only a few weeks away from one of the biggest fights in UFC history? Get used to it, because on November 3rd inside Madison Square Garden, Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal fight for the BMF Title. Since the match was announced, several MMA personalities have given their thoughts on the match and what the belt means.

The opinion that matters to many MMA fans might be the one that made this all possible.

Conor McGregor, someone who has a history of creating moments inside MSG, has finally given his thoughts on the belt. “The Notorious One” stated the contest is for the “interim” title.

This is one of the first posts for McGregor in a while. The reason for this specific post is the history he has with both fighters. Both he and Nate are locked in a 1-1 tie when it comes to fighting. Diaz beat McGregor via submission back at UFC 196. McGregor ended up beating Nate via majority decision in the rematch at UFC 202. As for Masvidal, the two have never fought but there have been murmurs of a match between the two at several points this year.

McGregor hasn’t fought since losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. Since then, he has been a part of a number of issues outside of the octagon. The 31-year-old is facing an assault charge following video evidence of him punching a man in a bar in Ireland. He is also under investigation for sexual assault.

Regardless of what is going on, there is always a chance McGregor lands a front row seat inside MSG for the fight between two gladiators. If possible, he can help create a moment within that moment, once again making the UFC happy, and rich, in the process.
