The latest installment of the YES Network’s Emmy Award-winning Yankeeography: Moments of Glory series, premiering tonight (11 p.m. ET – immediately following YES’ Yankees post-game coverage), highlights Scott Brosius’ MVP-winning performance during the 1998 World Series.

Brosius was traded to the Yankees following a sub-par 1997 season. Brosius went right to work with the Yankees and in his first season he was an explosive offensive asset, batting .300 with 19 home runs, and a career-high 28 runs batted in.

Brosius’s clutched play carried over into October as Brosius helped propel the Yankees to their 24th World Series title in 1998, batting .471 in the four-game series against the Padres.

In Game Two of the World Series, the third baseman contributed three hits to help the Yankees go up 2-0. However, it was in Game Three that his presence was felt the most. Brosius hit a solo homer in the seventh inning and a three-run bomb in the eighth, bringing the Yankees one game closer to glory. In the Series-clinching Game Four, Brosius supplied another RBI, and his throw to first baseman Tino Martinez after scooping up a grounder in the ninth resulted in the final out bringing a championship back to New York.

The Yankeeography premier will also feature interviews with Brosius’s teammates Andy Pettite, David Cone, Paul O’Neill and Bernie Williams, along with then Yankees manager Joe Torre, and Yankees broadcasters Michael Kay and Ken Singleton.

In addition to intervies, the show will feature exclusives with Brosius, and video highlighting his career in Pinstripes.

The show is must see TV and will air following Yankees-Marlins coverage on YES.
