Baseball Yankees even ALCS with yet another comeback Aaron Judge homers for second straight game as Yankees even ALCS. by Gregg Snyder October 17, 2017 Call them the come-back kids! Whether it be coming back in a single game, or coming back from a series deficit, the New York Yankees are making it a habit. Tuesday night saw yet another come from behind win for the Yankees. This one, a 6-4 win, evened the American League Championship Series with the Houston Astros at two games apiece. Don’t look now, but some key Yankees may be getting hot at the right time. After hitting a three-run home run in the Game 3 win, MVP candidate, Aaron Judge, started the Yankees come back with a solo shot in the seventh, cutting the Astros lead to 4-1. StatCast measured the homer at 427 feet with an exit velocity of a ridiculous 111.6 mph. The homer chased Astros starter Lance McCullers from the game, igniting the Yankees offense. New York added a second run in the seventh. In the eighth, Judge came up big again, drilling a two-run double off the left-field wall to tie the game, 4-4. The Yankees rookie right fielder is heating up after having a miserable start to the postseason. With the game tied, and two runners on, Yankees DH Gary Sanchez torched a 2-0 pitch for a two-run double, scoring Judge and Didi Gregorius and giving the Yankees a 6-4 lead. Sanchez had been hitless in his previous 18 at-bats before the double. Chad Green got the win, giving up an unearned run on one hit in two innings of work. Aroldis Chapman worked a perfect ninth, striking out two, earning the save. Yankees starter Sonny Gray, pitching for the first time since Game 1 of the ALDS, gave up two runs (one earned) on one hit in five innings. He walked two and struck out four. With the series now tied, Game 5 is at Yankee Stadium Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 5:08pm EST. It’s a rematch of Game 1 between Yankees Masahiro Tanaka and Astros Dallas Keuchel.
