Hockey Broadway Bits for March 26th Lundqvist will start at least one of those game this weekend. by Staff Post March 26, 2015 Mackenzie Skapski, the young 20 year old goalkeeper who was backing up Cam Talbot while Henrik Lundqvist was out with a vascular injury, was reassigned back to Hartford of the AHL. Mac Skap played in two games with the Broadway Blueshirts and had a record of 2-0-0; with a GAA of 0.50, a Save Percentage of .978 and one SO. He stopped 44 of 45 shots on goal in those two victories over the Buffalo Sabres. Mac Skap will return to the Wolf Pack, where he was 12-7-3 with a GAA of 2.38 before he was brought up to the Rangers. His Save Percentage was .914 and he had 2 SO. The native of Abbotsford, British Columbia stands 6 foot 3 and weighs 191 pounds and was selected by the Rangers in the sixth round, 170th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. In the other big news of the day, Henrik Lundqvist, who had been cleared by the doctors to return to practice, will travel with the team on this three day, two game road trip. As of now, Henrik will dress and back up Cam Talbot versus the Ottawa Senators on Thursday March 26th. The team will then travel to Boston and face off against the Bruins at the TD Gardens on Saturday March 28th at 1:00PM. The Blueshirts will return home on Saturday and play the Washington Capitals on Sunday afternoon at MSG. Face Off is scheduled for 3:00PM. Lundqvist will start at least one of those games this weekend, but head coach Alain Vigneault has not decided on which of the two games. Vigneault was impressed on how sharp and enthusiastic Henrik looked on the ice at practice on Wednesday, and although there will not be a morning skate for the Rangers on Thursday in Ottawa, Lundqvist will be on the ice to face some shots and go through some drills. Coach Vigneault hopes that one of those taking shots at Henrik will be Marty St. Louis, as the injured winger will accompany the Rangers on the trip to Ottawa and Boston. Hopefully MSL will return to game action sooner than later.
