MMA Conor McGregor Signs Exclusive Deal with Fanatics by Daniel Yanofsky December 10, 2015 Basketball star LeBron James signed a lifetime deal with Nike a few weeks ago. Not one to be outdone, Conor McGregor decided to get his own personal sponsored deal. “The Notorious” one, who is the current UFC Interim Featherweight Champion, has signed a deal with online retailer Fanatics. The deal will allow them to become the exclusive autograph collectibles retailer of Ireland’s favorite son. httpss://twitter.com/darrenrovell/status/674590883438792708 httpss://twitter.com/FansAuthentic/status/674595433956552704 McGregor is looking to cash in early, as he signed on days before his title unification match against Jose Aldo at UFC 194. That match is this Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both sides seem to be pretty happy with the deal. Ross Tannenbaum, President of Fanatics Authentic, stated in a press report, “As the first UFC fighter to join our team, we are proud that Conor has decided to position himself alongside athletes that have signed on to work exclusively with Fanatics for memorabilia, such as Steph Curry, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, David Ortiz and Kris Bryant.” This partnership would benefit both Conor and Fanatics, if McGregor were to beat Aldo this weekend. Merchandise sales would go through the roof, even if Conor’s merchandise is already selling at a good pace. Conor McGregor is known for having one of the biggest mouths in MMA history. This Saturday, he has an opportunity to literally put his money where his mouth is. If he wins, Fanatics will win. The partnership, like McGregor’s punches, could be a knockout.
