Daily Fantasy Football Preview: NFL Week 7

Week 7 is upon us and it’s lining up to be very high scoring week for the entire NFL. There are a good amount of sleepers that could help take down one of the large player pool (GPP) fantasy matchups on Draftkings and Fanduel. As a fantasy player you may not want to play players from the 49ers or the Browns but often times that is what is needed to win the big money. You have to differentiate your team from the thousands of other teams in the competition. Low cost/high reward is the type of players that you need to focus on to fill in around  the studs in your lineup.

Quarterback

Marcus Mariota

He still is not one hundred percent back from injury but any time a quarterback of his talent is facing the Browns he is a must play. It looks like he is starting to be on the same page with Eric Decker and he already has a strong rapport with Delanie walker.  Mariota may not get the expected rushing yardage this week but he is going to be a top 5 Quarterback.

Carson Wentz

The game is on Monday night so it probably is not going to be available for most Daily fantasy games but Wentz is a great play this week if you can play him on other slates. He has been playing at an MVP level so far and he still hasn’t had that huge game with his best receiver, Alshon Jeffrey, yet. This week could be that game.

Deep Sleeper: C.J Beathard

Beathard is not exactly the most attractive quarterback but he is extremely cheap and hethe offense seemed to move well with him in charge last week. He already has a strong connection with his college teammate, George Kittle, which would make for a great mimi-stack play in DFS this week. He may not have a flawless game but the 49ers are going to pass often. Beathard will get points.

Running Back

Le’Veon Bell

He is the best running back in the game but he needed time to get physically ready after missing the preseason. It looks like he is back to the player that we come to expect. He is one of the most expensive plays in fantasy but whenever possible try to fit him in lineups. He will be the key to the Steelers offense and he is the closest thing to guaranteed points in fantasy football.

Mark Ingram

Ingram looked like a stud last week and the fantasy world fully expects it to continue. The Saints seemed to have found a rhythm on offense and Ingram is a huge part of the productivity. His ground game allows Drew Brees to set up the play action passes that he has become known for. The weather is going to be messy which lines up great for Ingram who is a downhill runner.

Deep Sleeper: Orleans Darkwa

Darkwa has had two solid weeks back to back and the Giants seem to finally be establishing a running game. He is facing a tough Seattle defense but he was able to get over 100 yards last week and Denver’s defense which is considered the best in football. This play is a long shot but it could bring back a high reward.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Green

Green is often overlooked because his price is usually around the same as Julio Jones, OBJ, and Antonio Brown which causes fantasy players to pay for the other guys but Green is an elite receiver. A.J thrives against the Steelers and a  multi-touchdown, 100 yards + game can be expected. Lock him in!

Eric Decker

Mariota and Decker finally seem to be getting on the same page. The Browns defense is a target every week and Decker most likely will be Mariota’s go to guy. If Decker reaches the end zone this could be a monster week for him.

Deep Sleeper: Robert Woods

The Cardinals are weak at the one corner position. With Patrick Patterson shadowing Sammy Watkins all day this will leave Robert Woods (who has had a decent season so far) to exploit the Cardinals weak spot. His ownership will be low and his cost is on the lower end for a starting wide receiver in one of the best offenses in football.

Tight End

Gronk

This game is going to be a shootout but it is not available on many of the main slates on Draftkings. I expect Brady and Gronk to have one of those monster mulit-touchdown games that they have become accustom too. If he is available he is a play ten out of ten times.

George Kittle

The 49ers are a sneaky stack play this week and Kittle is the best matchup to exploit. He is getting more attention now that CJ Beathard is the 49ers quarterback. Beathard and Kittle played college ball together at Iowa. Results will come from the trust that they already have built.

Deep Sleeper:  Nick O’Leary

The tightend is an important part to the Bills offense. O’Leary showed that he can thrive as a pass catcher (especially in the redzone) while he was at FSU. He may not put up huge numbers but at his low price he is a excellent play with hopes of being targeted when it matters.

Defense

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have one of the most athletic defenses in the NFL. The main reason is because they are fast. Typically, speed is the hardest thing for rookie quarterbacks to adjust too. Mitch Trubisky should be no different this week. The Panthers feast on inexperience and most likely get a few turnovers.

New Orleans

The Packers have Brett Hundley at quarterback and the weather is supposed to be miserable in Green Bay. The Saints are not close to the best defense in football but they did produce a large amount of fantasy points last week and this game could mirror that. Expect this to be very ugly with both defenses getting involved in the scoring.
