BaseballYankees pitcher Domingo German suspended for 81 games by Chris Passarelli January 2, 2020 Domingo German, one of the breakout stars of the 2019 Yankees, has been suspended for 81 games for violating MLB’s domestic violence policy. German will serve the remaining 63 games this season, as the suspension is retroactive to last season. German served the first 18 games of the suspension during the 2019 season, including the Yankees’ nine postseason games.German’s suspension stems from an incident that allegedly happened after C.C. Sabathia’s Gala in September. The incident allegedly happened at the home of German and his girlfriend in Westchester County.German will not appeal the discipline, which also includes participation in an evaluation and treatment program supervised by MLB’s Joint Policy Board.
