MMAEdson Barboza v. Kevin Lee to headline UFC Atlantic City A huge match in Barboza v. Lee is scheduled to headline UFC Atlantic City by Daniel Yanofsky March 1, 2018 Ladies and gentlemen of New Jersey, we got ourselves a good one. It’s been 13 years since the UFC has been to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Making up for lost times, the company announced a huge bout that may main event in Edson Barboza v. Kevin Lee. While the fight has been reported for a while, the company sent out a late night tweet to make it official. This fight means a lot to both men. For Kevin Lee (16-3), it’s a chance to redeem himself back into contendership. He won five fights in a row before losing to Tony Ferguson via submission in a Lightweight Title fight in a competitive bout at UFC 216. There were some issues regarding weight cuts during that fight. It was noticeable during the bout when Lee ended up having a noticeable stuff infection. On the other side, Edson Barboza (19-5) is trying to redeem himself after Khabib Nurmagomedov manhandled him at UFC 219. In the latter’s return fight from injury, Barboza tried his best, but to no avail. He ending up lasting three rounds before losing via unanimous decision. One way to get back on track is by defeating the last contender for the title in Lee.This fight is sure to be a slobberknocker, and depending on Conor McGregor’s status, this could be a number one contender fight. All they have to do is wait and see who will win the bout between Khabib and Ferguson, the two men who previously beat them.UFC Fight Night 128 takes place on April 21st at Boardwalk Hall.
