GSP Bisping

(LowkickMMA.com)

Alright fight fans. Time to do some MMA math.

We all know UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping will be facing former welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre in his third title defense. But, when is the biggest question? Well, I think GSP is giving us some hints.

St. Pierre attended the NHL playoff game between the New York Rangers and the Ottawa Senators Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. While in attendance, he dropped us this little hint in his Instagram caption.

Now Friday afternoon, St. Pierre posts a video to the 185-pound champ. In the video he lets Bisping know that he will be ready to fight him anytime after October.

With November being the one year anniversary of the UFC’s first visit to the Garden, we could only expect their second visit would be around that same time. And a mega headliner would be a necessity to compare to UFC 205.

The middleweight division has been at a standstill since Bisping won the belt against former champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 in June. Since earning UFC gold he has only defended the belt against Dan Henderson, who at the time was ranked #15 in the division. Coming up on his one year anniversary as champion, anyone in the top 5 of the middleweight division is anxiously waiting for their shot at the title. After GSP, of course.

Are we going to have to wait till the final quarter of 2017 for some movement? According to GSP, sounds like it. Since the next title shot will not be until 2018 now, what is next for the top 10?
