This is a classic New Jersey vs. New York match up and in the perfect setting.

A rematch between UFC lightweights Chris Wade and Frankie Perez is set for UFC on FOX 25. The card will take place at Nassau Coliseum on July 22.

Newsday.com was first to report the match up.

Long Island’s Wade faced New Jersey’s Perez for the first time at Ring of Combat 48 nearly three years ago. Wade defended his lightweight title against Perez, earning a split decision victory and handing Perez his first professional loss. Check out a clip from the 2014 bout below.

Wade (11-3 MMA) is on a two-fight losing streaking with the promotion. His most recent loss to Islam Makhachev in September via decision. Wade trains out of Long Island MMA in Farmingdale, NY.

Perez (10-3) is coming off a loss of his own to Marc Diakiese at UFC Fight Night 102 in Albany last December via decision. Perez had retired in 2015 from professional mixed martial arts but then announced on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour in August that he was looking to make his return to the UFC.

Both fighters have been campaigning hard via social media since their last bouts to get back in the octagon as soon as possible. Perez announced the match up via Instagram late Tuesday night.

Will Wade give Perez another loss on his record or can Perez even the score?
