Hockey Islanders recall Dal Colle, Ho-Sang on emergency basis by Chris Passarelli March 5, 2019 The Islanders received some good news, but also some bad news on Tuesday morning. Two young stars Michael Dal Colle and Josh Ho-Sang were called up on emergency basis for Tuesday night’s game against the Ottawa Senators. The move made the fanbase smile because other than the Toronto game the Islanders have had a few lackluster performances. They find themselves second in the Metro division after a 4-5-1 stretch where they were blown out for the first time since early December and haven’t scored much other than their six goal performance in John Tavares’ return. Dal Colle and Ho-Sang could possibly bring some spark to a dull offense and bring the Islanders back to life. The bad news about bringing up Dal Colle and Ho-Sang is that because of the emergency basis, there must be something going on in the Islanders’ locker room. Whether it be an illness or a lot of banged up forwards, the Islanders can ill afford to lose more guys. They’ve been remarkably healthy for most of the season, so you knew it would catch up with them eventually, but they need their key guys down the stretch to finish off this playoff push and put themselves in a good position to win.
