One of the guys to watch out for next season if he gets picked up by the 76ers is Jakarr Sampson. The 6’9, 214 pound Sampson went undrafted by any team in the 2014 draft .He was very shocked, but he did not let that stop him. Sampson later decided to join the Philadelphia 76ers for their Summer League. On September 29, he signed with the 76ers. In Mid-November he was later assigned to the Delaware 87ers. Only a few short days later he was recalled back up by the 76ers. With that bright smile always hitting the boards and practicing, he was just as great as he was on the court as he was off the court. To get a shot with the 76ers, Sampson worked his way in slowly but surely. Sampson was sure who he would be guarding but on some nights it changed. One night it would be Curry another night it could be Ibaka; you never know. Even though his last three games of the year were his best, ironically, that is when he got a good deal of playing time also. Within the three days, he averaged close to 17 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Sampson went an overall percentage rate of 77.3% on attempts made inside the arc and also shot about 90% from the stripe. Sampson is under the scope next year to see if he is going to be back with the team or not. He is competing on a team of young guys trying to all compete for spot number one. With the unknown of Sam Hinkie’s game plan, anything is up for grabs right now. Let’s see if Hinkie makes Sampson a slam dunk for the 2015-2016 season … Post Views: 1,531 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Staff Post Latest posts by Staff Post (see all) In The Zone Announces Initial Podcast Lineup - November 13, 2020 The Essential Resources You Need to Start Your Own Gym in 2020 - February 6, 2020 Wilder vs Fury II – How the second fight will be different to the first? - February 5, 2020 Early turnovers, defensive struggles plague the Scarlet Knights - January 26, 2020 Related TopicsJaKarr SampsonPhiladelphia 76ers Click to comment You must be logged in to post a comment Login Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
