Jeff Horohonich Named DoubleGSports.com 2014 High School Coach of the Year

The 2014 DoubleGSports.com High School Coach of the Year is Jeff Horohonich, Softball Coach at Immaculate Conception HS in Lodi, NJ.

His Blue Wolves won their second consecutive Non-Public B State Championship, with a 5-0 shutout victory over St. Joseph of Hammonton at Toms River North HS. The championship concluded a fabulous season that saw IC win 27 and lose only 2. Those two loses were to Northern Highlands and eventual Non-Public A State Champions, Mt. St. Dominic.

Star pitcher Sarah Piening allowed only four hits and struck out 10 batters in the Championship game. In fact, Sarah was so dominating, that in four state tournament games, she allowed exactly NO runs.

With only one senior on the team, it is not far reaching that Immaculate Conception could obtain a three-peat in New Jersey Softball.
