Baltimore Ravens @ Tennessee Titans (+3.5) | Can the Ravens avenge that brutal 2019 post season loss?

The Tennessee Titans have been extensively featured in this column throughout 2020. It’s no secret they are my choice for AFC Super Bowl representative. My confidence over the last few weeks has undoubtedly wavered thanks to an unbelievably pathetic defense that couldn’t stop an offense led by Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. Still, they now have a 2,000-yard rusher at the head of a dangerous offense in Derrick Henry, the one true King of the NFL.

The key becomes if Tennessee can replicate their game plan from a year ago; get a nice lead and force Lamar Jackson to beat you from the pocket. Although the Titans beat the Ravens earlier in the season, this game seems a little different, and not just because it’s the playoffs either. Henry needs to play like a king today.

Baltimore earned this Wild Card berth. The AFC playoff picture was an absolute dog fight from seeds 4-7. There were real concerns the Ravens would be on the outside after a rough three game losing streak mid-season. Due to a five-game win streak to close out the regular season, Baltimore thrusted themselves into a revenge spot against their AFC nemesis, the Titans. Neither team is built to come from behind, so staying on schedule and within striking distance will be pivotal. Furthermore, if Jackson wants to shed the playoff choker label, it must start with a road W.

This is the game I have been looking forward to most all week. Not a fan of betting this one however. On paper, I like the Ravens. They’re hotter, playing strong defense, and hungry. But the Titans were my pick to go to the Super Bowl. A true head vs heart matchup, I may regret it, but I can’t jump ship now.

WILD CARD PREDICTION: Titans win and cover the home 3.5.
