Justin Wright-Foreman signs with Utah Jazz

Former Hofstra star and back to back Colonial Athletic Association player of the year Justin Wright-Foreman has signed with the Utah Jazz on a Two-Way contract.  For those unfamiliar with Two-Way contracts, NBA teams may have up to two players under NBA Two-Way Contracts who will spend the bulk of the season in the NBA G League and not more than 45 days with their NBA team. Two-Way players are paid a corresponding daily amount based on the number of days they play in each league. Only players in their fourth NBA season or earlier are able to sign Two-Way Contracts, which can be for either one or two seasons.

Foreman was drafted in the second round (Pick 53) of the 2019 NBA Draft and averaged 10.5 PPG, 3.0 APG and 1.5 SPG during the Jazz’s Summer League schedule.  He competed in two games.  Foreman’s contract signing is a huge step forward for a Hofstra Basketball program that hasn’t had much to be excited about.  Hopefully this is just a sign of bigger things to come as a whole.
