Basketball Lebron is Now An Exclusive Member of The Three Comma Club by Katie Malespina February 1, 2021 NBA Player Lebron Becomes Apart of Three Comma Club: Lebron has been playing for the NBA for eighteen years. He was drafted in 2003 in the first round and was the first one picked. He is one of the bests basketball players in history and has made the Hall of Fame. This year 2021, Lebron will hit $1 billion in his earnings, and this will give him a spot on The Three Comma Club. The Three Comma Club is basically mega-rich people who have excelled over $1 billion in earnings throughout their careers. This club is for celebrities, sports players, musicians, and anyone who has made at least $1 billion in their careers. The other members of this club are; Tiger Woods, Floyd Mayweather, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi. For Lebron, most of his earnings are not just from playing on the court. In fact, according to Forbes, “He’s expected to earn $95.4 million, including an estimate $64 from endorsements, memorabilia, and media.” Photo by Markus Spiske on Unsplash Covid-19 Left Plenty of Empty Seats at The Arenas: After Covid-19 hit the NBA courts are pretty empty, so they can not have many people watching the game in person. The people in the courts will only be 2% of the normal 103,000, so the NBA got hit hard. Forbes stated, “Arenas generate roughly 40% of NBA revenue in a normal season, but that figure will be close to zero this year.” Unfortunately, this in turn will affect the player’s salaries, including Lebron. He, however, has many other endorsement plans because every company wants him. Lebron has also signed an endorsement deal with Pepsi.
