SmackDown Live Women (

It has been rumored for a long time that WWE’s women’s division would get opportunities the men have had for years. Once they did, the possibilities became endless. One wish fans have wanted was for a women’s ladder match. After another rumor regarding that type of match went through the net thanks to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the waiting game began. Finally, the SmackDown Live women will get a chance to make history at WWE’s Money in the Bank PPV.

WWE held a Fatal 5-Way Elimination match on SmackDown Live tonight to crown a number one contender for Naomi’s SmackDown Women’s Title. Charlotte would face Carmella, Natalya, Tamina and Becky Lynch. The match never happened, as every participant attacked one another to try and gain an advantage. The last image was Charlotte hitting a moonsault onto the floor and putting Natalya through the announce table. Shane McMahon came out to find a way to let the women vent their frustration.

He announced that on June 18th at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, those five women would compete in the first ever women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

When you think about it, this would have been unheard of five-ten years ago. The women of yesteryear would have loved to have this opportunity. The landscape has changed, and it’s quite refreshing to see the women getting a chance to shine. From eye candy to being put through tables, this isn’t your older brothers women’s division.

The possibilities for this match are endless. Imagine Charlotte hitting a moonsault off of a ladder, or Tamina hitting a Superfly Splash. One thing that would be entertaining would be if Becky Lynch suplexed James Ellsworth off the ladder. The fact that this is even a real conversation is fantastic.

This is a history-making moment. Women’s Wrestling forever!
