The UFC is set to make its first appearance on Long Island, and they’re doing it right.

UFC on FOX 25 has grown to become Long Island vs. the World. If as a NY area fan you aren’t excited, then I think you need to keep reading.

First, who’s on the card?

UFC Long Island Fight Card

(UFC.com)

Like I said earlier, this card is flooded with New York fighters.

The card is still being formed so we do not have the actual bout order. What we do know so far is the inaugural card will be headlined by former Middleweight champion Chris Weidman. He will face rising 185-pounder Kelvin Gastelum in the five-round main event. Set to co-headline the card is Long Island MMA’s Dennis Bermudez against Team Alpha Male’s Darren Elkins

Also repping Long Island is light-heavyweight Gian Villante, welterweight Ryan LaFlare and rising featherweight Shane Burgos. In a local rematch, Long Island’s Chris Wade will face New Jersey’s Frankie Perez. Also, heading east from Jersey is Jimmie Rivera.

Welterweight Lyman Good and middleweight Rafael Natal, who train out of Manhattan, will also be featured.

Second, how do I get tickets?

Most important part: Ticket prices range from $55.50 to $305.50 (not including fees).

Kicking off at 10am Wednesday, UFC Fight Club members have exclusive access to the first round of tickets. The pre-sale code is unique per subscriber so don’t try and buy one off a guy on Twitter (unless he’s not using it).

Thursday at 10am starts the Social pre-sale. This is for those who registered on social media over the last month to get notified about ticket info. These codes are public so you’ll be able to find them on the UFC’s Twitter account or nice people posting them online (once they’ve purchased there tickets).

Friday at 10am is the full-public sale. These are whatever tickets are left after the pre-sale rounds have closed.

If there is anything I’ve learned since UFC 205, timing is everything. Granted UFC 205 was a mega, MEGA card so tickets would have been impossible regardless. I purchased UFC Fight Club after that and used it for UFC 208. I used it today for UFC Long Island. It’s a flat fee and you get some UFC swag. Just something to consider if you’re an active fight-goer.

Parking is also a huge factor. If you buy parking the day of it’ll run you upwards of $30 per vehicle (CARPOOL!). If you pre-pay, you’ll save a few bucks and it only $20.

UFC Long Island (UFC on FOX 25) is live at NYCB Live in Uniondale on July 22. It will air live on FS1 at 6pm EST before switching to FOX at 8pm EST. Early prelims will air exclusively on UFC Fight Pass at 4pm EST.
