New Jersey Devils forward Patrik Elias became the 91st player in National Hockey League history to register 400 goals on Friday night at the Prudential Center.

Elias, ended his nine game scoring draught 1:23 into the second period of the Devils victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs by picking up the third of the milestones he was shooting for this season. On January 6th against the Buffalo Sabres, Elias had picked up his 600th assist and 1000th point.

Elias’s milestone also turned out to be the game winning goal in the Devils 4-1 victory. Devils President and General Manager and Interim Head Coach, Lou Lamoriello said, “His trademark is he’s an all-purpose player, he’s an all situation player.” Lamoriello added, that while Elias is more of a play maker, it doesn’t mean that he’s not a goal scorer either.

The milestone was made even more special to Elias, was that his four year old daughter, Sophia, was in attendance to see him score the goal. He said, “I think that’s the first time she saw me score, so she brought me luck obviously.”
