MMA PFL Teams Up With DraftKings Ahead of its Championship Finals on New Year’s Fighters won’t be the only ones that will be looking to win money by the end of the night thanks to this new partnership. by Daniel Yanofsky December 31, 2018 In its first season, the Professional Fighters League has produced some of the best moments in MMA this year. Now, the organization wants you to get in on the action without actually competing inside the octagon. The PFL has struck a deal with DraftKings for their finals, which will be taking place on New Year’s Eve. You can start 2019 right by winning $25,000 in guaranteed prizes. The contests include the type of victory that will be taking place, what round and the time within the round that the fight ended. “The winner in this partnership is MMA fans, first with fantasy then over time, gaming,” said Donn Davis, PFL co-founder and chairman in a press release. “PFL is re-imagining MMA, and we look forward to collaborating with DraftKings to offer new engagement for fans while creating new revenue streams for our business.” It is one of the first times an organization has worked with a gambling site in this capacity. The PFL started with 72 fighters from all over the world in six weight classes. Now, there will be six championship fights to determine the champion of each division and $1 million to go with it. Are you ready for some interactive action? PFL 11 will be held inside the Hulu Theater inside Madison Square Garden. Tickets are still available now at the MSG box office and Ticketmaster.com.
