BaseballYankees acquire Terrance Gore from Royals by Chris Passarelli July 17, 2019 In a bit of a surprise move, the New York Yankees acquired OF Terrance Gore from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for cash considerations. Gore is known to be a speedster, as his .224 career average indicates. His offensive stats don’t pop out but he does have 13 steals in 18 attempts. What’s interesting about this acquisition is that the Yankees already have a plethora of outfielders both on their team and in AAA. Gore is being sent down to AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre but may be up come playoff time to be a pinch runner. As many have speculated, does this mean that Tyler Wade’s days are numbered?Wade was the hottest player on the Yankees coming out of Spring Training, but a combination of poor play and injury relegated him back to the minor leagues. He hasn’t gotten an opportunity to come back up, and with the trade deadline on July 31st, Brian Cashman may be cooking something up.
