Other Sports Qualifying matches for the Global Cruiserweight Series will be held at Evolve shows by Staff Post March 22, 2016 (WWE.com) At an event in Queens, NY, NXT talent scout William Regal was in attendance for a Evolve live show. Regal came with some exciting news. The Global Cruiserweight Series qualifying matches in America will take place at the Evolve shows leading to show, the big event in July that will air on WWE Network. Evolve Wrestling is ran by Gabe Spaolsky. Former co-founder for ROH in it’s early days and former protege to the infamous Paul Heyman, working under him as a writer during the original ECW days. Over the past year, Triple H has developed a positive working relationship with Gabe. Allowing some of the NXT roster to appear at Evolve events. Triple H has shown true interest in working with other promotions to showcase upcoming talent that may be under contract with other promotions. With Evolve hosting the Global Cruiserweight Series it would benefit everyone involved. If WWE covers the qualifying matches, the network would see a lot of traffic and new subscribers who dig the new content. You would also have the die hard Evolve and Dragongate USA fans who want to see their favorite wrestlers in the series. Overall, this is a great move for WWE and possibly the network and Evolve. More updates will follow as it is released. This is going to be a great summer.
