After dropping two straight games to the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Staten Island Yankees hit the road to take on the Lowell Spinners on Monday. The Staten Island bullpen was unable to hold the lead late as the Yankees fell to the Spinners on a walk-off, 6-5.

Jonathan Loaisiga took the mound for the Yankees as they hoped to snap their the two-game losing streak. Loaisiga allowed one run (zero earned) on two hits and struck out nine in 4 1/3 innings of work. David Palladino pitched 1 2/3 innings, allowing a hit and striking out two. Josh Roeder entered the game in the seventh inning and proceeded to allow three earned runs that pulled Lowell to within one. Will Jones was credited with the blown save and the loss for Staten Island after allowing a walk-off single to Steven Reveles in the bottom of the ninth. Jones pitched 2 1/3 innings allowed three hits and two runs (one earned) during his appearance.

Timmy Robinson hit his team-leading seventh home run of the season in the top of the fourth off of Lowell starter Yorvin Pantoja. Manny Argomaniz, who served as the DH for the game, hit his first homer of the season in the sixth inning that gave the Yankees a 5-1 lead.

Staten Island has gone just 3-6 after winning 11 consecutive games earlier this month.
