MMA UFC 246: McGregor v. “Cowboy” Cerrone LIVE Press Conference Video by Daniel Yanofsky January 15, 2020 This Saturday at UFC 246, “the new” Conor McGregor returns to the octagon to face the durable Donald Cerrone. The welterweight bout will be McGregor’s (21-4) first fight since his submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. It is also his first fight back since battling his own personal demons. From two ongoing sexual assault accusations against him to getting charged after punching an old man at a bar, it is has been a tough go-around for McGregor. Motivated and somewhat humbled, he will look to return to his old form when he became a double champion inside Madison Square Garden. He faces Cerrone (36-13, 1 NC), a man riding a two-fight losing streak while fighting four times in 2019. Both McGregor and Cerrone will face one-on-one off for the first time tonight (Wednesday, 1/15) before their bout inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. They will answer questions from the media along with Dana White. The press conference is expected to start at 8 p.m. ET. You can tune in via the attached video above. What kind of Conor will we get at the press conference? More importantly, will questions be asked about his past and will he be able to answer them? While fireworks aren’t expecting to fly like a normal McGregor press conference, we can expect some type of build for the fight between two of MMA’s most popular stars.
