Other Sports Adrienne Reese: A Future Breakout star in NXT and WWE by Staff Post February 15, 2016 Adrienne Reese Adrienne Resse (formerly known as Athena) started her career training under Hall of Fame wrestler, Booker T in Houston, Texas around 2007. She debuted in PCW on November, 10,2007. Athena has had a star studded independent wrestling career. Competing in prestigious promotions like Shimmer Wrestling, WSU, ROH, NCW Femme Fetales and AIW. On September,11, 2015, she was signed to WWE and sent directly to their developmental territory NXT. In October, Athena now Adrienne Reese, made her live in-ring debut in a tag team match. As usual, Adrienne delivered the goods and brought smiles to the faces of fans that have followed her career before her appearance in NXT. I think the thing that everyone should be waiting for, is the moment that NXT starts to show vignettes of Adrienne and the date of her official debut pops up on the screen. I truly don’t think that many people understand, the impact that she will make when she finally graces the full sail arena. Just seeing her compete against women like Asuka and see these two women trade kicks, will leave us all breathless. For those who don’t know, these two women have met up on the indy circuit in the past, and to say that their chemistry in the ring is off the charts, would be an understatement. I would love to see her compete against other new comers in NXT like Peyton Royce, Liv Morgan, and Nia Jax. I can even see her diving into inter gender matches with wrestlers like Hideo Itami, Tommaso Ciampia and even Chad Gable. With Adrienne’s in-ring ability that hits so many different styles, ranging from great mat work and technical, dominance, strong style and high flying skills there’s no limit on the push that she could receive. Many fans are already drooling, over seeing Adrienne face WWE main roster opponents like Naomi and Tamina. I’m not going to lie, I would be glued to the screen if that happened in the future, but I’m just focusing on the present. Waiting to hear word on when this diamond is going to shine bright in the NXT squared circle. I can’t wait!
